Cirsa has acquired the Paraguayan gaming operator Slots del Sol on July 14, 2026. The transaction marks the company's entry into the Paraguay market and expands its presence in Latin America.
Strategic Expansion
Slots del Sol operates an online platform alongside two physical casinos and two gaming halls. Cirsa expects the acquisition to improve margins within its online gaming division. The deal adds to the group's recent merger and acquisition activity in the region.
Executive chairman Joaquim Agut stated that the purchase reinforces the company's focus on online gaming growth. He described Paraguay as a regulated market with strong fundamentals. CEO Antonio Hostench noted that Slots del Sol demonstrated strong operational capabilities.
He added that the group intends to combine its international experience with local expertise to drive future development.
This transaction follows Cirsa's acquisition of a majority stake in CasinoPortugal in January 2025. The group also previously integrated Peru-based operator Apuesta Total. Cirsa launched its initial public offering last year.
